Features Overview
SLNet telnet server software turns any Microsoft Windows
2000 or 2003 server into a true multi-user system. SLNet
enables an unlimited number of users to work invisibly and
simultaneously on any Windows server without interfering with
one another or the server console user. Additionally, SLNet
optimizes the telnet protocol between Radio Frequency (RF)
devices and Windows servers.
Telnet Application Features
- Remote users can work invisibly and simultaneously on the same
Windows 2000 or 2003 server without interfering with the server console
user.
- Allows unlimited concurrent connections for any device running
terminal emulation, including RF devices.
- Users can drop straight into custom applications or access
the Common Command Shell.
- Use existing character-based and DOS applications to
run multiple users without modification to Windows 2000
or 2003.
- Written in open Internet standards to work with any telnet
client. No proprietary client software is required.
- Features two levels of ‘time-out’ including:
the clean up of processes when a connection is dropped and
inactivity time-outs to log clients off after a specified period of
no activity.
- System administrators can include more information such as
security warnings for log-on banners through the multi-line
banner support.
- Gives administrators the ability to customize the log-on and
